Yiannis Stamatonikolos
Υiannis Stamatonikolos is a dynamic figure in the fields of artificial intelligence, sustainability, and youth leadership. He currently serves as the Curator of the GenAI Summit at 100mentors, the largest conference in Southeast Europe and the Middle East focused exclusively on GenAI. Υiannis also holds a pivotal role in the UNICEF Global Gender Equality Action Plan Evaluation as a member of the Global Youth Advisory Committee.
His passion for sustainability is reflected in his roles as an EU Climate Pact Ambassador for the European Commission and a member of the Global Shapers initiative of the World Economic Forum. Yiannis has been actively involved in leadership positions in the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Youth, both globally and nationally, where he strives to mobilize youth for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Yiannis’ speaking engagements are a testament to his expertise and influence. He has delivered speeches at prestigious events such as The Economist’s Seventh Sustainability Summit, the Athens Riviera Forum, and the MENA Climate Week in Riyadh. His academic background includes studying law at the University of Athens and at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster.
As an Ambassador of The Climate Initiative (TCI) and a Campus Director of the Hult Prize Foundation, Yiannis has been instrumental in inspiring young people to address global social issues through entrepreneurship. His dedication to youth empowerment and sustainable development has earned him accolades, including winning the Climathon Greece competition organized by the Ministry of Environment and Energy and Athena RC.
